Overview

Volunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live. Last year over 1400 volunteers donated over a quarter of million hours of their time to our organisation. Would you like to join our growing team of volunteers, and make a real difference?

Responsibilities

We are looking to recruit Outreach Support Volunteers to play a pivotal role within the local Liverpool community promoting our services and engaging with our service users/individuals/rough sleepers and partner agencies.

Volunteering with Change Grow Live is a great way to make a real difference in people’s lives whilst gaining valuable experience.

  • Support the Outreach team to engage and support individuals who are experiencing homelessness and have multiple needs/substance misuse. You will be responding to referrals, targeting known locations within the community actively engaging and building a positive relationship with people who are rough sleeping/ experiencing problems with substance misuse.
  • As part of a team, you will be working with partner agencies, signposting individuals, empowering and assisting them to access relevant services. Advocating for them and supporting them to achieve their goals and make positive changes as well as managing expectations of all involved.

Outreach can be a fast-paced and challenging role so you will need to be responsive and adaptable with the ability to work quickly and effectively. No two days are the same and you can really make a difference in helping to keep people safe.

Training

Attendance on training is an essential part for the volunteer role.

  • Mandatory: Volunteer Induction training
  • Mandatory: Boundaries/Confidentiality training

  • Required: Alcohol Awareness training
