BDCU is a multiple award-winning financial services and community development-based Credit Union with over 12,000 members. We work in the community and payroll partnership sector across Bradford, Kirklees, and Craven in West Yorkshire.
At BDCU, we are always keen to connect with individuals who are passionate about supporting our mission and strengthening our organisation. We are seeking a prospective Volunteer Director and are currently particularly interested in hearing from individuals with experience in People Resources or Human Resources.
Serving as a Director offers a valuable opportunity to contribute your professional skills, help shape the strategic direction of BDCU, and support the continued growth and sustainability of our organisation.

About the Role
This is a voluntary, unremunerated position. As a member of the Board, Directors work collaboratively to provide governance, oversight, and strategic guidance.
Key commitments include:
- One Board meeting per month
- Participation in the People Resources Committee (four meetings per year)
- Contributing expertise, insight, and strategic thinking to support BDCU’s work
- Acting as an advocate for the organisation within your professional networks
