The Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan is presently accepting applications for the position of “Grader and Heavy Equipment Operator," to work in the Township’s Public Works Department.
The Successful Candidate Will Possess
- Grade 12 education or equivalent with a minimum of three year's experience
- Ability to handle physical effort and exertion
- Knowledge of safety procedures
- DZ Driver's licence and clean driver's abstract
- Minimum of two year's experience sanding/salting with a tandem truck
- Ability to operate all Roads Department equipment including but not limited to backhoe, dump truck, excavator, water truck
- Grader experience is required
- Good interpersonal skills are necessary, along with the ability to work on an "as needed" basis, in relation to weekends, etc.

Good interpersonal skills are necessary, along with the ability to work on an “as needed” basis, in relation to weekends, etc. The rate of pay will range from $27.49 - $32.73. The successful applicant will assume a 41-hour work week. A clean driver’s abstract and clean criminal records check must be provided by the successful candidate before a job offer is accepted.
