We’re looking for qualified counsellors to join our growing volunteer counselling team.
Whether you prefer to work remotely or offer face-to-face sessions, we’d love to hear from you.
What difference will you make?
By volunteering with Chronically Marvellous, you’ll help ensure that people living with long-term health conditions have access to high-quality emotional support when they need it most. Your time and expertise can have a lasting impact on someone’s wellbeing and recovery. We will provide you with 1.5hrs of monthly group supervision and annually training.
What are we looking for?
We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Is a qualified counsellor or currently completing a recognised counselling qualification.
- Is a registered member with a recognised professional body such as the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) or UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
- Has excellent listening, communication and empathy skills.
- Is committed to ethical practice, safeguarding and maintaining professional boundaries.
- Has an interest in supporting people living with long-term health conditions and disabilities.

What will you be doing?
Help Change Lives
Chronically Marvellous is a registered UK charity dedicated to supporting people living with long-term health conditions, chronic pain, disability and mental health challenges. We provide compassionate, person-centred counselling and wellbeing support to help people navigate the emotional impact of living with chronic illness.
The Role
As a Volunteer Counsellor, you will provide safe, confidential and compassionate counselling to adults referred through Chronically Marvellous. You’ll work with clients experiencing a range of emotional challenges linked to long-term physical health conditions, disability, chronic pain and mental wellbeing.
