Reception Support Volunteer
We are looking to recruit a Reception Support Volunteer to support on our busy reception.
Volunteering with Change Grow Live is a great way to make a real difference in people’s lives whilst gaining valuable experience. Whether you want to give back to your community, develop new skills, or meet like-minded people, there are plenty of reasons to get involved.

Our services thrive on a warm and welcoming environment. As a Reception Support Volunteer, you’ll be the first point of contact within the service, greeting all visitors promptly in a friendly and courteous manner.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Dealing with initial queries and liaising with relevant staff
- Coordinating appointments and managing a busy waiting area
- Sign-posting clients to accessible support within our service and the local community (e.g., smoking cessation, SMART recovery, Mutual Aid groups)
This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in the substance misuse field as part of a supportive team. You’ll receive comprehensive training and guidance to develop confidently in this role.

Training Provided
All the necessary skills, knowledge, and support will be given, including:
- Mandatory Volunteer Induction training
- Mandatory Boundaries & Confidentiality training
- Drug Awareness training
- Harm Reduction training
- Alcohol Awareness training
Training dates to be confirmed.
Key Requirements
- Minimum age: 18 years or older
- Completion of a disclosure check (basic DBS)
