Role Description This is a volunteer role based at Plaistow and Kirdford Primary School in Kirdford. Volunteer school governors help set the strategic direction of the school, support the leadership team, and ensure effective use of resources. Typical activities include:

Qualifications
- Ability to understand and analyze written reports, numerical data, and school performance information.
- Strong communication skills, including active listening, clear questioning, and respectful discussion in group settings.
- Sound judgment, problem-solving abilities, and readiness to make objective, evidence-based decisions.
- Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a governance team, while maintaining independence and integrity.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion within an educational environment.
- Interest in primary education and willingness to undertake training related to school governance.
- Reliability, respect for confidentiality, and availability to attend evening meetings and occasional school visits.
