Volunteer Service User Representative

Volunteer Role: Service User Engagement Lead – CGL & Luton Recovery Alliance

Change Grow Live belief that those who access our services should be at the heart of everything we do. Those who have lived experience have a unique and valuable insight into how our services can work best.

We are seeking passionate individuals to assist us in engaging with service users, ensuring their voices are heard and that they have a meaningful role in shaping how we deliver our services.

About the Role

In this rewarding volunteer position, you’ll:

  • Engage with service users in CGL’s Luton Recovery Alliance
    • Act as an advocate, ensuring their views are listened to, shared, and acted upon
    • Represent their perspectives to the service and broader community
  • Support service improvement
    • Channel feedback from service users to inform ongoing development and enhancements
    • Help communicate changes or decisions back to users clearly
  • Foster collaboration
    • Work closely with Change Grow Live staff and connect with local communities

Training & Support

We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support for all volunteers, including:

  • A full induction to introduce you to the organisation
  • Mandatory training courses (must be completed before starting):
    • Volunteer Induction
    • Boundaries & Confidentiality
    • Drug Awareness
    • Harm Reduction
    • Alcohol Awareness
  • Training dates to be confirmed, starting 31/7/2026

Requirements

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Commit to attending all mandatory training
  • Undergo a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
