Role Description
This volunteer Social Media Manager role is a hybrid position based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with some work from home flexibility. The role involves:

- Planning and scheduling social media content across platforms
- Aligning posts with campaigns and organisational activities
- Creating engaging written and visual content
- Monitoring audience interactions
- Responding to comments and messages
- Supporting community engagement online

Day-to-day tasks include:
- Analysing basic performance metrics
- Optimising posts for reach and impact
- Collaborating with team members to promote events, initiatives, and success stories
- Helping shape the organisation’s online voice to support its mission of empowering young people and the wider community
Qualifications
- Skills in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) to manage and grow the organisation’s online presence
- Strong Communication and Writing skills to create clear, engaging, and inclusive content
- Skills in Content Strategy to plan campaigns and align messaging with organisational goals
- Familiarity with major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, LinkedIn) and basic analytics tools is beneficial
- Experience or interest in youth work, community projects, or social enterprises is an advantage
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate with a diverse team
- Commitment to equality, inclusion, and the empowerment of young people and communities
