Company Description
Earlestown Athletic Junior Football Club is a community-focused youth football organization based in Newton-Le-Willows. The club provides a safe, inclusive environment where children and young people can develop their football skills, teamwork, and confidence. Run largely by volunteers, the club values commitment, respect, and positive role models for its players and families. Earlestown Athletic Junior Football Club works closely with local schools, community groups, and leagues to promote grassroots football and healthy lifestyles.
Role Description
The Volunteer Staff role is a full-time hybrid position based in Newton-Le-Willows, with some duties that can be completed from home. Day-to-day responsibilities may include:

- Supporting training sessions and match days
- Helping with player registration and communications
- Assisting coaches with equipment setup and basic administration
- Coordinating schedules

Some tasks, such as maintaining digital records, preparing communications, and supporting social media or website updates, can be carried out remotely. The position requires reliability, a collaborative approach, and a strong commitment to the wellbeing and development of young players.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with players, families, coaches, and local partners.
- Basic administrative and organizational skills, including managing schedules, records, and general club documentation.
- Comfort with using computers and digital tools, such as email, spreadsheets, and online collaboration platforms.
- Ability to work as part of a team, show initiative, and contribute positively to a volunteer-driven environment.
- Genuine interest in youth development, community sport, and creating an inclusive, supportive atmosphere.
- Previous experience in volunteering, youth work, coaching, or community organizations is beneficial but not required.
- Willingness to undertake relevant safeguarding checks and training (e.g., DBS checks and child protection training) is essential.
