Are you passionate about swimming and helping young swimmers reach their potential?
Inverleith Amateur Swimming Club is looking for an enthusiastic Volunteer Swim Coach to join our friendly and supportive volunteer coaching team.
Established in 1969, Inverleith ASC is a competitive swimming club based in Edinburgh. We are a positive, inclusive and volunteer-run club, committed to supporting swimmers from novice level through to age-group competition, while providing the best possible environment for them to develop and enjoy the sport. Our training sessions take place at various Edinburgh Leisure venues.
About The Role
Working closely with our Head Coach and wider coaching team, you will help plan and deliver high-quality sessions that support swimmers’ development across all strokes, starts, turns and race skills. You will play an important role in fostering a positive club culture, encouraging swimmers to build confidence, improve technique and achieve their potential in a safe, enjoyable and supportive environment.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Is
- Passionate about swimming and working with children and young people of varying ages and abilities
- Able to communicate well and build positive relationships with swimmers, parents and fellow coaches
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and committed to swimmer wellbeing
- Encouraging and motivated to inspire swimmers to develop a lasting love of the sport
Requirements
- Level 2 Coaching Qualification, SSTQ/SSCQ, or equivalent
- Background in swimming and a good understanding of stroke technique
- Previous coaching experience or experience working with children and young people in a swimming or sporting environment is preferred
- PVG (protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme membership, or willingness to obtain
- Child Wellbeing & Protection in Sport certification, or willingness to obtain
- Commitment to relevant CPD and ongoing coach development
