🌟 Could You Help Shape the Future of Mental Health Support in Essex? 🌟

The Haven Project, a Colchester-based mental health charity working with people with Personality Disorders, Complex Trauma and Complex PTSD, is seeking to recruit additional Trustees to join our Board and help guide the next stage of our development.

At The Haven Project, we provide vital support to people experiencing mental health challenges, helping them build confidence, resilience and connections within their community with a range of services available. As demand for our services continues to grow, we are looking for passionate individuals who can bring expertise, insight and challenge to our Board.

We would particularly welcome applications from people with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Charity Law and Governance – understanding of the legal and regulatory responsibilities of charities and charitable organisations.
  • Charity Sector Knowledge – experience working within, supporting or leading organisations in the voluntary, community or social enterprise sector.
  • Independent Inspection / Audit – expertise in assurance, compliance, risk management, internal audit, external audit or regulatory review.
  • Funding and Income Generation – knowledge of grant funding, trusts and foundations, corporate sponsorship, fundraising or other funding streams.
  • Bid Writing – experience securing funding through compelling applications, tenders or grant submissions.
  • Events Planning – helping us strengthen community engagement and fundraising through well-organised events and campaigns.
  • Volunteer Recruitment and Management – supporting the attraction, development and retention of volunteers who are critical to our success.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
