Volunteer Trustee(s) – Help Shape the Next Chapter of Tees Valley Together
About Tees Valley Together
Tees Valley Together (TVT) is a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) based in Hemlington, Middlesbrough. We exist to prevent and relieve poverty by providing practical support, building community resilience and bringing people together.
Since being founded in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have grown into a trusted community charity supporting local people through initiatives including our Eco Shop, Home from Home, Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, Warm Welcome sessions, Uniform Exchange and wider community development projects.
Our approach is simple—we work with communities, not to them. We listen first, strengthen what already exists and develop services alongside residents and partners to create lasting change.
Our ambition is to become the recognised community anchor organisation for Hemlington before sharing this approach across other communities in Middlesbrough and the wider Tees Valley.
About the Opportunity
Tees Valley Together is entering an exciting new phase of organisational development.
We are now looking for new Trustees who want to help guide the charity through this next chapter.
This is an opportunity to join an organisation with a clear strategic direction, ambitious plans and a genuine commitment to community-led development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
