Are you passionate about mental health, storytelling, and creating engaging video content? The Arthur Ellis Mental Health Foundation is looking for a Volunteer Video Editor to help bring our popular radio show and podcast, Down but not Out, to life on our YouTube channel.

The Arthur Ellis Mental Health Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness of mental health issues, reducing stigma, and providing hope, support, and inspiration to those facing life's challenges. Through our Down but not Out radio show and podcast, we share powerful conversations, personal stories, expert insights, and positive messages that help people realise they are never alone.
The Role
As a Volunteer Video Editor, you will play a key role in helping us expand our reach and engage more people through video content. You will transform podcast and radio recordings into professional, engaging videos suitable for YouTube and social media.

Responsibilities
- Edit video and audio content from the Down but not Out radio show and podcast.
- Add titles, graphics, transitions, captions, and branding elements.
- Create engaging YouTube-ready episodes and short promotional clips.
- Enhance audio quality where required.
- Ensure content aligns with the Foundation's values and messaging.
- Work collaboratively with the production team and presenters.
- Meet agreed editing deadlines.
Skills and Experience
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience using video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar.
- Has a good eye for storytelling, pacing, and visual presentation.
- Is reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
- Has an interest in mental health awareness and community impact.
- Experience with YouTube optimisation, subtitles, and social media content creation would be an advantage but is not essential.

Time Commitment
Flexible. We anticipate approximately 2–5 hours per week, depending on episode schedules and content requirements.

By volunteering with the Arthur Ellis Mental Health Foundation, you'll help ensure that the voices, experiences, and stories shared through Down but not Out continue to inspire hope, encourage conversations, and remind people that they may be down, but they are never out. Together, we can make a difference to mental health awareness and support.
