Overview

Volunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live. Last year, over 1400 volunteers donated over a quarter of million hours of their time to our organisation. Would you like to join our growing team of volunteers and make a real difference?

Responsibilities

A Young Person's Resilience Worker is a frontline role supporting our Young Persons Service (aged 10–24) facing challenges with substance use. To help young people reduce risk, build confidence, and develop healthy life skills through one-to-one support, group programs and educational workshops.

Key Activities:

  • Support to engage young people who have drug and alcohol issues and provide them with advice, support and structured interventions to support their health and wellbeing needs.
  • Support Resilience Workers to carry out comprehensive assessments, risk assessments & plans and contribute to the development of recovery planning.
  • Document all Service User contact on case management systems in a timely manner.
  • Support Resilience Workers with one-to-one key work sessions; increasing drug and alcohol awareness and delivering harm reduction advice.
