About UKAPS
UK-Africa Prosperity Seed (UKAPS) is a UK-based non-profit with two core missions:
- Empowering African women through interest-free micro-loans
- Providing free access to medical diagnosis by building donor-funded community laboratories
We are growing fast and need a dedicated Social Media Manager to help amplify our impact.
Role Overview
As our Volunteer Social Media Manager, you will shape UKAPS’s digital voice across Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and TikTok. You will create engaging content, grow our audience, and help communicate our mission to donors, partners, and communities.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about social impact, storytelling, and digital communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a social media content strategy aligned with UKAPS’s mission
- Create posts, reels, stories, and graphics that highlight our micro-loan programme and health-lab initiative
- Manage and schedule content across all platforms
- Engage with followers, respond to messages, and build community trust
- Track analytics and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with the UKAPS team to support campaigns, fundraising, and events
- Maintain consistent branding and tone across all channels
Skills & Experience
- Experience managing social media accounts (professional or volunteer)
- Strong writing and storytelling skills
- Ability to create simple graphics or use tools like Canva
- Understanding of social media trends and analytics
- Passion for women’s empowerment, community health, or African development
- Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently
