Job Introduction

Join Our Apprenticeship Programme and Shape Your Future

Embark on a journey with us through our Apprenticeship programme, where we prioritise your growth and success beyond the training period. We are committed to equipping you with lifelong skills in a supportive and encouraging work environment, ensuring your career aspirations become a reality.

What Does a Field Service Engineer Do?

This is an Engineer who works on their own initiative in their own vehicle carrying out a wide range of tasks including fault finding, repair, servicing and maintenance on machinery, plant and associated equipment. Unlike marine or aviation equipment, this role focuses specifically on land-based machinery.

Your Three-Year Apprenticeship Journey

Year 1:

  • Working with an experienced Field Service Engineer you will begin with foundational tasks such as machinery service and inspections, guided by your mentor.
  • You'll spend 16 weeks in total at College in England or Scotland in up to 4-week block release sessions, with travel and accommodation expenses covered.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
