The Role

52North is bringing Neutrocheck®, a finger-prick blood test and digital platform for remote triage of chemotherapy patients at risk of neutropenic sepsis, to the UK market in 2027, alongside ACORN, a digital communication tool for acute oncology management. We are hiring our first VP, Commercial to own go-to-market end-to-end: commercial strategy, pricing, NHS and private-sector market access, and first revenues. This is a builder role: you will personally close our first contracts, then build the team around them.

Responsibilities

  • GTM strategy: Own the launch plan for HCP-use (NHS trusts, private hospital groups, pharmacy channel), with a designed-in path to at-home patient-use post regulatory clearance.
  • Pricing & commercial model: Set pricing anchored in health-economic value (admissions avoided, pathway savings); define per-test, bundle, and platform subscription structures; own distributor economics.
  • Market access: Drive the NHS adoption pathway: budget impact model, NICE Early Value Assessment / MedTech Funding Mandate strategy, framework listings (NHS Supply Chain, SBS), ICB and trust engagement, working with external health-economics support.
  • Sales execution: Build and convert a pipeline of potential customers, including NHS trusts and private healthcare providers, into pilots/evaluation sites and full commercial contracts; negotiate and close first paid contracts; establish pharmacy distribution partnerships.
  • Team: Manage and develop the commercial manager; scope and hire business development managers as required once the sales pathway is proven.
  • Leadership: Report commercial progress to senior stakeholders including members of the board; input to Series A narrative with pipeline and revenue evidence; reporting into CEO and working closely with CEO, CSMO, and CDO on evidence generation and product-market feedback.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
