The company has scaled revenue by over 500% in the past four years, recently completed a successful investment round, and is now preparing for its next major milestone - a potential IPO or strategic exit within the next 1–3 years.

The Role:
As part of their next stage of growth, the firm are now looking to hire a VP Finance (No.2) to the UK-based CFO. They are seeking a commercially minded finance leader on the pathway to CFO, eager for a role that offers strategic scope, hands-on influence in building scalable infrastructure, and the opportunity to work directly with a highly accomplished CFO.

- Design and scale financial infrastructure: Build scalable, automated processes and systems across FP&A, reporting, and financial control to support efficient decision-making and expansion.
- Strategic leadership: Lead long-term financial planning and strategy to position the business for sustained growth, acquisitions, and investment opportunities.
- M&A and investment finance: Partner with the CFO and board on M&A execution, due diligence, valuation, and integration.
- FP&A: Drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance analytics, offering clear insights.
- Financial control: Maintain strong internal controls, compliance, and governance across all accounting and regulatory areas.
- Team leadership: Lead a high-performing team of six (including two ‘Heads of’), providing strong guidance, development, and direction as the function scales.
- Business partnering: Work closely with senior leaders to embed finance in key strategic and operational decisions.
- Investor relations: Build investor confidence through clear communication, fundraising support, and capital efficiency initiatives.
- Board reporting: Present financial performance, risks, and strategic recommendations to the board.

Essential Experience:
- A qualified Accountant
- Background in a Series B/C+ technology scale-up.
- A highly commercial accountant with top-level experience of financial controls
- A coachable leader
- Innovative and proactive, very hands-on leader with an ambition to scale and nurture a finance team.
Location: Central London | Hybrid
Salary & Benefits: £180k - £220k + Equity
