VP of AI Transformation
London, UK (Onsite/Hybrid)
An innovative, rapidly scaling deep-tech company is seeking an exceptional London-based VP of AI Transformation who has successfully driven AI transformation across an entire organization.
As VP of AI Transformation, you will partner directly with the executive leadership team to define and execute an AI-first operating model across the entire organization. This is a strategic leadership role focused on transforming how the business operates by embedding AI into every function, from engineering and operations to finance, HR, legal, procurement, customer support and executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's enterprise-wide AI transformation strategy.
- Establish an AI-first operating model that enables AI adoption across all business functions.
- Identify, prioritise and scale AI use cases that improve efficiency, productivity and operational performance.
- Build governance frameworks covering responsible AI, security, compliance, data governance and risk management.
- Lead enterprise-wide AI adoption and change management programmes, ensuring employees at every level are equipped to embrace AI-enabled ways of working.
- Partner with functional leaders across Engineering, Operations, Finance, HR, Legal, IT, Supply Chain and Customer Support to integrate AI into day-to-day business processes.
- Establish transformation governance, reporting frameworks, KPIs and executive dashboards to measure business impact.
- Create a culture of continuous improvement through intelligent automation, AI agents and AI-powered workflows.
- Advise executive leadership on emerging AI technologies, opportunities and strategic investments.
- Build and lead a high-performing AI Transformation function that aligns business priorities with technological innovation.

Required Experience & Skills
- Significant experience leading enterprise-wide AI or digital transformation programmes within complex organisations.
- Proven success embedding AI across multiple business functions, delivering measurable improvements in productivity, operational efficiency and business performance.
- Strong understanding of Generative AI, enterprise AI platforms, AI agents, intelligent automation and modern AI technologies.
- Experience designing enterprise operating models, governance frameworks and organisation-wide AI adoption strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale organisational change and influence senior executive stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of business process transformation, operational excellence and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience defining KPIs, measuring ROI and demonstrating the commercial impact of AI initiatives.
- Outstanding communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge technical and business teams.
- Experience establishing AI Centres of Excellence, AI governance programmes or enterprise AI capability functions is highly desirable.
- Experience within deep-tech, advanced manufacturing, engineering, robotics or other technology-driven organisations would be advantageous but is not essential.

We're specifically looking for leaders who have transformed organisations through AI, not those whose primary focus has been building AI products or leading AI engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will have successfully driven enterprise-wide AI adoption across functions such as operations, engineering, finance, HR, legal, customer support and other corporate departments. Experience creating AI operating models, leading organisational change, establishing governance, and delivering measurable business value through AI will be highly relevant.
