Description
Sinch's verification business is at a genuine inflection point. SMS one-time passwords have been the dominant mobile authentication channel for over two decades — and that's changing. Rising costs, regulatory pressure, and a new generation of operator-backed Network APIs (Number Verification, SIM Swap, KYC Match) are reshaping how businesses confirm identity at scale. Verification is a significant and strategically important part of Sinch's business, and the next 12–24 months will be decisive for who leads this market.
We're looking for a VP of Product & Business Lead to own this opportunity end-to-end. This is an entrepreneurial business development role: you'll lead a cross-functional product, engineering, marketing, and solutions team. You will drive the go-to-market strategy, and align the broader business around a single plan. You'll be the accountable leader for Sinch's next generation verification product(s) — Primarily focusing on developing our next-generation offering and taking that to new and existing customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the P&L. You'll be accountable for the revenue, gross profit, and margin performance of the Verification product line. That means making active decisions on pricing and packaging, managing costs, and driving the commercial outcomes — not just the product outcomes.
- Drive the go-to-market. Working closely with Sales, Product Marketing, and regional teams, you'll shape how we take Verification to market — protecting our existing customer base through the SMS-to-Network API transition while developing the specialist commercial motion needed to win new identity and authentication buyers.
- Lead the cross-functional team. Delivering on this opportunity requires tight alignment across product, engineering, sales, marketing, finance, and operations. You'll lead that team — setting clear priorities, establishing shared commitments, and making sure everyone is pulling in the same direction.
- Partner on MNO enablement. Sinch's Telco team is building the capability to help mobile operators unlock Network APIs. You'll work closely with that team to align on strategy, ensure the MNO and enterprise motions reinforce each other, and make the combined opportunity real for customers.
- Develop the team. You'll hire, develop, and retain strong product and engineering leaders, creating an environment where people do their best work and grow.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The role sits in the SINCH CPO organization and is ideally based at SINCH global HQ in Stockholm, Sweden. It is remote friendly, so we would also consider applications from other countries in EMEA.
What Success Looks Like in Year One and Two
- A clear, funded plan to protect and grow our verification business through the technology transition, with active progress against it
- Number Verification in market as a competitive, well-packaged offering with enterprise customers converting — starting in the US, then EMEA and APAC
- A go-to-market model with the right structure and incentives to drive both migration and net-new growth
- A strong working partnership with the Sinch Telco team, with the MNO and enterprise motions aligned and mutually reinforcing
Requirements
You might come from CPaaS, identity and fraud, fintech infrastructure, enterprise SaaS, or telco. What matters is the combination of commercial drive, product and engineering leadership, and the ability to mobilize a team around a high-stakes opportunity.
- You're energized by market transitions, not unsettled by them. You can hold the near-term and the long-term at the same time. And you're the kind of leader who makes things happen — not by having all the answers, but by asking the right questions and driving clarity where there isn't any. Many of the largest customers are in America, which means you will be on the road from time to time.
- Around 15+ years across product management and business leadership, with meaningful time in a senior role carrying real P&L responsibility
- Experience leading both product and engineering teams — you're comfortable owning the full build-and-ship responsibility, not just the strategy
- A track record of leading a product or business through a genuine market transition, not just managing a stable portfolio
- A commercial mindset — you think in unit economics, understand pricing levers, and know how to connect product decisions to business outcomes
- Strong leadership of cross-functional teams — you've aligned sales, marketing, finance around a common plan before and you know what it takes
- The presence and communication skills to represent Sinch with major enterprise customers and operator partners
