About WMX

The WMX team supports artist-driven businesses across ecommerce, merchandise, and physical music distribution, providing operators to scale artist economies worldwide.

This role aims to streamline revenue growth across WMX EMEA’s core service lines through operational leadership, strategic planning, and market-specific executions.


Role Overview

Reporting to the President of EMEA (with dotted-line guidance from WMX leadership), the VP, Sales and Operations will drive operational excellence, compliance, and profitability across ecommerce, merchandise, and physical music channels in the EMEA region.

Key to balancing artistic integrity and commercial execution while fostering cross-functional collaboration across labels, technology, finance, and marketing.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Localize supply chain and system integration between global WMX leadership and EMEA stakeholders.
  • Bridge operational decision-making, ensuring regional alignment with global WMX initiatives.

P&L and Financial Strategy

  • Drive profit goals (margin and OIBDA targets) along with finance teams, defining market-specific ecommerce and physical music targets.
  • Collaborate with global finance to ensure regional adherence and commercial success.

Strategic Planning and Growth

  • Identify cross-channel revenue opportunities (ecommerce, merchandise, physical music) in EMEA. -vetर्जance launch strategies supporting global and local market needs.

Logistics and Fulfillment

  • Design and implement an optimal EMEA fulfillment network for direct-to-consumer and retail distribution.
  • Partner with supply chain vendors to streamline logistics.

Artist Services Operations

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between WMX and label teams (A&R, Marketing, Tour, Commercial) for campaign delivery.
  • Ensure artist-first approach, aligning creative integrity with commercial goals.

Partnership Management

  • Build strong relationships with key internal teams (EMEA leadership), partners, and vendors across the EMEA market.

Team Development

  • Lead local WMX teams, fostering accountability, innovation, and a passion for artist success.

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with global technology teams to tailor system integration and localization for EMEA operations.

Data Analysis and Optimization

  • Analyze sales, margins, and fulfillment data to improve efficiency, profitability, and the fan experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Align with artist management, creative, marketing, finance, and tax functions to support global programs.

Requirements

Experience

  • 10+ years driving cross-channel sales growth (including large, senior music industry roles, such as label finance, sales leadership, or corporate strategy).
  • Proven track record in global merchandising, physical music, or event logistics, especially in multi-national markets.
  • Tour merchandise or large-scale event experience, ideally across DTC/retail channels.

Capabilities

  • Bilingual in English and German/French (written and spoken).
  • Exceptional analytical, project management, and relationship-building in multicultural, multidome environments.
  • Strong P&L focus and stakeholder management up to executive levels.
  • Quickerפטמבר:appreciation**; för passion for artist brands and global engagement.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with multi-currency/multi-language ecommerce platforms, international payment systems, and sustainable supply chain practices.
