Job Summary

We seek a senior leader to coach and grow our EMEA operations, driving strategic execution for engineered-to-order critical power solutions. The VP Operations – EMEA will oversee operational excellence in engineering, procurement, production, project delivery, and customer-facing implementations across engineered infrastructure for data centre and mission-critical environments.

  • Location: Based in EMEA (open to UK, Ireland, Poland, or Austria).
  • Focus: Scalable processes, cross-functional accountability, cost control, and long-term growth.

Core Responsibilities

Your daily focus will include—but is not limited to*:

  1. Operationwide Accountability

    • Drive performance in safety, cost, quality, delivery, and project profitability.
    • Align metrics, governance, escalation paths, and performance management across complex engineering programmes.
  2. Strategic Leadership

    • Develop and execute business plans, mapping growth objectives, customer demand, and capacity into operational roadmaps.
    • Translate growth strategies into actionable operational frameworks.
  3. Customer & Partner Engagement

    • Maintain relationships with hyperscale/data centre clients, consultants, and industry experts.
    • Stay aligned with market trends, competitiveness, and delivery standards.
  4. Cross-Functional Integration

    • Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Project Management, Supply Chain, Finance, and other Flex/Anord Mardix sites for cohesive operational delivery.

  1. Engineer-to-Order Excellence

    • Establish procurement, production, and project execution workflows tailored to engineered variability, design controls, and customer-specific specs.
  2. Planning & Execution

    • Enhance systems for inventory, sales, and ops planning, order intake readiness, long-lead material tracking, and delivery timelines.
  3. Operational Discipline

    • Drive configuration management, change control, non-conformance reduction, and lessons learned.
  4. Team Leadership & Development

    • Mentor leaders and nurture high-performing, collaborative teams, especially in fast-growth, project-driven environments.
  5. Process & Productivity Improvement

    • Adopt lean methodologies, digital tools, and automation to increase reliability, cost efficiency, and scalability—without compromising engineering flexibility.
  6. Compliance & Ethics

    • Ensure health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory compliance in electrical infrastructure projects.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • MBA or equivalent master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Operational Background

  • 10+ years in manufacturing/operations, with 7+ years in regional management.
  • Extensive experience in:
    • Project-led, engineer-to-order, electrical infrastructure, or mission-critical industrial manufacturing.
    • Applicable to high-complexity, customer-specific builds and high-stakes environments.

Functional Skills

  • Advanced mastery of operations with strong ties to engineering, quality, supply chain, and commercial functions.
  • Data-driven decision-making—analyze KPIs, trends, and performance indicators to drive financial and operational success.
  • Financial acumen: P&L responsibility, cost reduction, and ROI-based justifications.

Soft Skills & Cultural Fit

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation & relationship-building—especially with multiple stakeholders.
  • People management and mentorship: Ability to uplift teams, foster collaboration, and groom next-gen leaders.
  • **Proactive mindfully—**focused on risk mitigation, trust, and resolution during crises.
  • Sustainability awareness: Understand ESG standards and compliance in manufacturing.
