Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is Santander's global division that supports some of the world's most complex and sophisticated corporate and institutional clients, offering customized services and value-added wholesale products to best meet their needs.

Private Debt Mobilization (“PDM”) brings together the various private-side distribution and structuring teams from the bank’s corporate and institutional businesses, including private-side structuring, managing underwriting risk, loan primary and secondary syndication, securitization, structured sales, private placement, repackaging, credit insurance, and trade distribution teams.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Analysis of underwriting and/or value-added opportunities across Corporate, Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Principal Finance sectors
  • Working closely with Corporate Loan Origination, CRE Loan Origination and Principal & Capital Finance teams on the deal structuring, pricing, and distribution strategy of financing opportunities
  • Managing underwriting, syndication, and sell-down processes in both primary and secondary markets, partnering with Loan Sales, Market Sales, and wider PDM teams
  • Supporting meetings with clients and investors, preparing credit and underwriting applications, and delivering commercial presentations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Providing market intelligence on investor appetite, pricing trends, comparable transactions, and emerging market developments to support successful transaction execution

What you’ll bring:

Our people are our greatest strength. Every individual contributes unique perspectives that make us stronger as a team and as an organization. We’re enabling teams to go beyond by valuing who they are and empowering what they bring.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
