About the Team & About the Role
Rubrik's Sales Engineering team is at the heart of every enterprise deal — translating the world's most critical data security challenges into solutions that protect thousands of organisations across financial services, healthcare, government, and beyond. As VP of Sales Engineering for EMEA, you'll lead and scale the technical pre-sales function across one of Rubrik's fastest-growing regions, building the team and operating model that helps EMEA's enterprise customers understand exactly why Rubrik is the defining platform at the intersection of AI, data, and cybersecurity. This is a rare opportunity to own the technical dimension of a region at scale — shaping strategy, developing world-class SEs, and sitting at the table where the biggest deals are made.
What You'll Do
- Lead, grow, and develop a high-performing team of Sales Engineering leaders across EMEA, building the talent pipeline and team culture that sustains long-term regional success
- Own the technical pre-sales strategy for EMEA, partnering directly with Sales leadership to align SE coverage, capacity, and capability to the region's revenue goals
- Drive SE excellence across the full sales cycle — from discovery and technical qualification through to proof of concept, competitive positioning, and executive-level presentations
- Act as the executive technical voice for EMEA's largest and most strategic deals, engaging CISOs, CTOs, and CIOs as a trusted advisor on data security architecture and cyber resilience
- Build and scale technical programs and enablement frameworks that keep the EMEA SE team at the cutting edge of Rubrik's platform, competitive landscape, and customer use cases
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Channel, and Customer Success to feed EMEA field intelligence back into the business and ensure the SE team is equipped to win
- Recruit, hire, and retain top SE talent across the region, raising the bar on technical depth and customer-facing impact with every hire
Experience You'll Need
- Significant experience leading pre-sales or sales engineering teams at a VP or Senior Director level, with direct management of managers and multi-country EMEA coverage
- Deep technical credibility in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, data management, or an adjacent enterprise technology domain — capable of engaging at the CxO level on architecture, risk, and business outcomes
- Proven track record of driving revenue through technical pre-sales excellence in a high-growth SaaS or enterprise software environment
- Strong people leadership — you build teams people want to be part of, develop SE talent into future leaders, and operate with high standards without creating a high-pressure culture
- Experience operating in a matrixed, fast-moving organisation with the ability to influence across Sales, Product, and Executive stakeholders
- Fluency in enterprise sales methodology (MEDDIC / MEDDPICC or equivalent) and how pre-sales plugs into a disciplined sales process

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
