Job Description VP - Supplier Management

Role Overview
VP - Supplier Management is a key role in the Aerospace Procurement organisation and will own and take lead of all responsibilities relating to ensuring Quality, Delivery and Technical, supplier improvement Contract Cost to meet the customer requirements across the global Supply Chain. This role will lead multiple Supplier Management teams globally and is responsible for in contract management, supplier delivery, supplier quality, execution and supplier improvement. You will manage key relationships with customers, senior supplier stakeholders and senior stakeholders across the Aerospace supply chain acting as a focal escalation point for all aspects of Supplier Management.
Key Accountabilities
- Input to and implementation of supplier strategies as defined in the Integrated commodity strategy
- Monitoring and mitigating future risk in the supply chain to eliminate future impact on supplier performance
- Global quality performance for the assigned SMTs and ensuring resources are available for effective improvement or counter measures
- Working with the commercial team - the management of in contract cost and execution of remedies and claims on suppliers as a consequence of poor performance
- Introduction of new parts into the supply chain through transfer, NPI or modification programs
- Supplier improvement: Running of formal supplier improvement projects (including technical cost reduction) to improve all aspects of supplier performance

Key Experiences and Qualifications
- Dynamic/inspirational leadership of medium to large teams
- A global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working
- Experience in delivering large scale transformation and change programmes using Lean/Process improvement experience
- Excellent influencing and Supplier Relationship skills at executive/director level
- Proven track record delivering operational excellence in Supplier Management in both favourable and unfavourable conditions
- Held significant Supplier Management/Operational Delivery roles, demonstrating breadth of experience and implementing change at pace and a demonstrable track record of leading cross functional teams successfully
- Key commodity knowledge across a broad portfolio and understanding of SM tools and processes
