Harvey Nichols is entering an exciting new chapter. With renewed energy, fresh creativity, and a clear vision for the future, the brand is evolving — reclaiming its place as one of London’s most iconic destinations for style, culture, and hospitality. At the heart of this transformation is the Fifth Floor Restaurant — a vibrant dining space above the energy of Knightsbridge, where modern cuisine, design, and social atmosphere come together. Known for its contemporary feel and dynamic setting, the restaurant is once again becoming a destination for guests seeking exceptional food and memorable dining experiences. The Role As part of the Fifth Floor team, you will help shape the experience of one of London’s most stylish dining destinations. Key responsibilities include: Delivering attentive, seamless service with confidence, professionalism, and genuine warmth Bringing the menu to life through the art of storytelling — sharing the inspiration, ingredients, and character behind each dish Guiding guests through their dining journey, offering thoughtful recommendations and creating a sense of occasion Anticipating guest needs to ensure a smooth, intuitive, and personalised service Working closely with kitchen and bar teams to deliver a cohesive guest experience Contributing to a vibrant, social atmosphere where hospitality feels natural, engaging, and memorable From the first welcome to the final farewell, you will create an environment defined by warm hospitality, where every guest feels recognised, valued, and immersed in a dining experience that is stylish, current, and distinctive. What We’re Looking For You are an experienced waiter who combines strong service skills with personality, presence, and attention to detail. You will need to have: Experience in a quality restaurant or luxury hospitality environment Strong understanding of food, service standards, and guest experience Confidence describing menus and making recommendations A natural ability to engage guests and build rapport Energy, pace, and professionalism in a high-volume setting A collaborative mindset and commitment to high standards Why Join the Fifth Floor Working at Harvey Nichols means being part of a brand defined by style, creativity, and cultural relevance — and now, its next era. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
