Soho House – Waiter

About the Role

At Soho House, a Waiter plays an essential role in delivering refined, attentive, and personalised service to our members and guests. Working closely with the floor and kitchen teams, you ensure a smooth dining experience while upholding the Club’s standards of professionalism, discretion, and excellence.

Your primary responsibility is to create a memorable experience for members from the initial greeting through to the final payment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage warmly with members: Greet arrivals, introduce menus, and establish seamless interaction upon seating.
  • Take accurate orders, noting allergies, dietary restrictions, and preferences.
  • Coordinate efficiently with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely, correct deliveries.
  • Provide expert food and drink recommendations, including pairing suggestions.
  • Maintain impeccable table service: Proactively replenish water, wine, and beverages.
  • Maintain service excellence: Set, reset, and clean tables pristinely at all times.
  • Anticipate and fulfill member needs, adapting flexibly to create personalised, memorable experiences.
  • Process payments seamlessly (cash, Soho House App, or House Pay).
  • Exemplify discretion and professionalism, particularly when serving VIPs and PWKs.
  • Support team dynamics through participation in briefings, tastings, and peer assistance.

What We Are Looking For

  • 2–3 years’ experience in a similar high-end dining environment.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume settings with calm, efficient problem-solving.
  • Exceptional hospitality skills: Must be hospitable, approachable, and passionate about customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in training, such as the Club School curriculum.
  • Competency in shift flexibility, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong team player with autonomous, initiative-taking skills.

Note on Compensation: The salary for this role within the UK is fixed at £15.50—£15.50 GBP. Regional variations may apply in other locations.
