Our Story
The Distefano family—generations strong—began San Carlo over three decades ago, transforming it from a single restaurant into a benchmark brand with twenty-five authentic Italian restaurants across the UK (London, Bristol, Leicester, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester, and beyond) and an expanding global footprint (Kuwait, Bangkok, Qatar, with new markets like Miami soon to follow).
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Welcoming & Seating – Efficiently greet arriving guests and guide them to tables
- Menu Service – Present menus clearly, take orders for food and drink with expert recommendations
- Subject Service – Serve meals and beverages promptly, maintaining high standards
- Guest Care – Proactively check on diners, resolve inquiries/concerns, and ensure satisfaction
- Payment Handling – Process orders accurately, including cash and card transactions
- Restaurant Setup & Clean-Up – Assist with pre-shift prep, table reset, and post-service tidying
- Cross-Team Collaboration – Coordinate seamlessly with kitchen and bar teams to deliver order accuracy and timeliness

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Proven food & beverage service experience (preferably in a full-service restaurant)
- Exceptional communication skills – Engaging, articulate, and attentive to guest needs
- Attention to Detail & Organisation – Highly structured, capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure
- Self-Starter Mindset – Proactive, judgmental for independent decision-making with minimal supervision
