Do you have experience of working in an administration and customer-facing role?

Are you a friendly, motivated, and dynamic individual who is keen to work in a forward-thinking team?

The post holder will be responsible for agreeing booked dates with patients. You will be required to have previous experience of working in a busy office environment with an understanding of waiting lists and referral to treatment targets.

The nature of this post requires the post holder to have a high level of tact and diplomacy as well as strict adherence to the rules of confidentiality.

You will work collaboratively with admin colleagues, and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide a high standard of service and patient experience. Attention to detail and accurate data capture is paramount.

  • To ensure patient admission details are arranged in conjunction with agreed booking procedures, and patients informed by telephone.
  • To ensure any cancellations are replaced as agreed with consultants and inform theatres and wards etc.
  • Daily responsibility for making pre-assessment clinic appointments ensuring the completion of the appointment outcome within 24 hours of the clinic.
  • To schedule theatre lists as delegated by consultant teams.
  • To liaise with consultants regarding the order of daily operating lists and to produce and circulate to theatre staff, wards, etc.
  • Answering phone queries from patients and NOK.
