Full Job DescriptionOptions Autism are hiring Young Adult Support Worker in the Perth region!Role: Waking Night Care WorkerSalary: £25,837.50 per annumLocation: Falkland House School Perth, Fairmount Terrace, Perth, PH2 7ARHours: Permanent, 50 hours per week - Term Time Only (39 weeks a year)Shifts: Sunday to Thursday - 21:45 - 07:45 UK Applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorshipAt Falkland House School Perth, we know that feeling safe, supported and understood doesn’t stop at bedtime.We’re looking for compassionate, resilient and dedicated individuals to join our team as Waking Night Care Workers, supporting young people with autism and complex needs throughout the night. This is more than a night shift role — it’s an opportunity to provide reassurance, consistency and life-changing support when it matters most.About the roleWorking across both our main school accommodation and throughcare accommodation, you’ll help create a calm, therapeutic and safe environment overnight. You’ll support young people with their routines, wellbeing and independence, responding sensitively to any needs that arise during the night while working as part of an exceptional and supportive team.Although the nights can often be quiet, your presence and approach will make a huge difference — helping young people feel secure, relaxed and cared for.What You’ll Be Doing
Providing overnight care and support in a calm, therapeutic manner Creating a safe, structured and reassuring environment for young people Supporting independence, routines and wellbeing overnight Building positive relationships based on trust and understanding Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide consistent support Monitoring wellbeing and responding appropriately to individual needs Promoting safety, safeguarding and positive outcomes at all times

Essential Requirements
Ability to remain awake throughout the night to ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people Willingness to work towards qualifications required for Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration

About usAm Bruach service offers accommodation for five young adults, at a transition focused person-centred provision in Perth, Scotland. The service is situated just minutes walk from the city centre in an idyllic location overlooking the Tay and Perth. Specialising in providing care to young adults aged between 16 to 23 years old. Our service aims to support to a wide range of emotional difficulties, specifically for young adults with Autism and/or ADHD. The accommodation is split across a self-contained annexe for two young adults and a house for three young adults. We are part of the Options Autism and can promise you plenty of challenges, and a rich variety of opportunities to develop your career.Options Autism provide education and care across a number of schools and residential care homes nationally.
