About the Role We are looking for a Ward Clerk to join our team on Ward B6 in Salford.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and clerical support to ward/unit staff
- Efficiently and conscientiously respond to telephone enquiries from:
- Hospital staff
- Patients
- GP practices
- Relatives
- Maintain a high standard of public/customer relations
- Ensure clinic patience bookings and patient transfers/discharges via EPR
- Liaise directly with Consultants for:
- Direct admissions from GP’s
- Proper clinical staff instructions
- Responsible for the safekeeping and availability of all clinical patient records
- Oversee ward/department office operations to ensure smooth functionality

Experience Required:
- Demonstrated experience in keyboard operation and typing
- RSAII Typing/Word Processing or equivalent qualifications desirable
- Experience in hierarchical record keeping preferred
