Exciting Opportunity for a Ward Clerk
We have an exciting opportunity for a Ward Clerk to join our team on Ward T4 in the newly built Greater Manchester Major Trauma Centre in Salford.
Role Overview
You will provide a wide range of administrative and clerical duties to the ward / unit staff and respond to telephone enquiries from hospital staff, patients, GP practices and relatives efficiently and conscientiously.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience of dealing with the public / customer relations and keyboard skills.
- RSAII Typing / Word Processing or equivalent and NVQ qualifications are desirable.
- Responsible for the safe keeping and availability of all clinical records relating to patients and the smooth running of the ward / department office.
- Liaise directly with Consultants for direct admissions from GP’s and book patients in to clinic as instructed by clinical staff.
- Maintain patient flow on EPR for patient transfers and discharges in a timely manner.
