Ward Hostess/Host

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Hostess/Host to join the Medirest Family. We seek passionate individuals to join our dedicated Patient Dining team, which delivers outstanding catering services across hospitals.
As a Ward Hostess/Host, you’ll provide a warm and welcoming environment for patients. Every shift is different, and by facilitating your patients’ nutrition and hydration needs, you’ll truly make a difference!
Shift Pattern
5 days out of 7
Key Responsibilities
- Take orders and assist with menus, answering dietary and allergen queries for patients
- Prepare and deliver breakfast, lunch, and dinner services while maintaining high refreshment standards
- Clear down ward areas and wash up dirty dishes to maintain kitchen readiness for the next service
- Liaise with ward staff to ensure timely patient care fulfilment
- Offer exceptional customer service, prioritising the needs of patients at all times

Ideal Candidate Qualities
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Awareness of food hygiene and safety standards
- An enσήoued passion for patient care, with strong communication skills when interacting with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff
- Ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach
- Confidence working in a hospital environment, including opportunities to support patients in distress
- A commitment to excellence, p铆i الرئe in your work, and a willingness to go the extra mile for patients
- No prior experience in this role is necessary, as training will be provided
This position will require a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, with costs covered by the employer.
