Ward Manager
Ward Manager – The Yorkshire Clinic, Bingley
Role Summary
Full-Time Position | 37.5 hours per week Join Ramsay Health Care, one of West Yorkshire’s leading private hospitals, where exceptional patient care is at the heart of everything we do. What You’ll Do
As Ward Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding patient care while leading, inspiring, and developing your team. Key responsibilities include:

Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a skilled ward team, driving high standards of care and professional development.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive work environment.

Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily ward operations, including staffing, resource management, and rostering.
- Ensure patient safety, compliance, and continuous improvement in line with CQC standards and best practices.
- Manage budgets and resources to optimise efficiency and service quality.

Collaboration & Cross-Departmental Coordination
- Work closely with other departments, NHS partners, and senior management to deliver seamless, high-quality patient experiences.
- Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and teamwork.

Clinical Leadership
- Maintain a strong clinical presence, ensuring adherence to protocols and upholding Ramsay’s renowned standard of care.
What You’ll Bring With You
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a current and valid NMC registration.
- Minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience, ideally with:
- A strong surgical background.
- At least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role (preferably prior clinical supervisory experience).
- Demonстраble expertise in patient care best practices, including:
- Safe, person-centred care delivery.
- Compliance with CQC (Care Quality Commission) standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients, families, staff, and senior teams.
- Organisational acumen to manage complex workflows, deadlines, and multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, balancing clinical excellence with staff well-being.
- Experience with budgeting, staffing management (including rostering), and resource allocation (highly desirable).
