Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in General/Urology Surgery wards
- Provide holistic patient care throughout the surgical inpatient pathway:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Administer medications and treatments safely (NMC guidelines compliance)
- Monitor patient observations and escalate concerns promptly
- Support recovery pre- and post-operatively
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams (surgeons, consultants, allied health professionals)
- Maintain compassionate, professional, and patient-centred care, including support for relatives
Requirements
Applicants must hold:
- Valid NMC registration (must be current)
- Recent or current experience (minimum 6 months in the last 12 months) in surgical or inpatient settings
- NHS experience (proven)
- Desirable:
- Clinical experience in General/Urology wards
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work within a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment
