Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care in General/Urology Surgery wards
  • Provide holistic patient care throughout the surgical inpatient pathway:
    • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
    • Administer medications and treatments safely (NMC guidelines compliance)
    • Monitor patient observations and escalate concerns promptly
    • Support recovery pre- and post-operatively
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams (surgeons, consultants, allied health professionals)
  • Maintain compassionate, professional, and patient-centred care, including support for relatives

Requirements

Applicants must hold:

  • Valid NMC registration (must be current)
  • Recent or current experience (minimum 6 months in the last 12 months) in surgical or inpatient settings
  • NHS experience (proven)
  • Desirable:
    • Clinical experience in General/Urology wards
    • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
    • Ability to work within a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment
