Job Overview
Come and work with the friendly 34AB team! We are a well diverse team. Join our hyper acute stroke and Neurology unit, working across both wards A & B a dynamic and diverse and supportive environment, where everyday brings opportunities to learn, grow and make a real difference in patients' lives.
Main Duties of the Job
- To deal with external/internal enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner
- To be aware of patient confidentiality at all times
- To carry out the filing of medical notes
- To carry out the photocopying of case notes when required
- To carry out the scanning of case notes when required
- To deal with any phone enquiries when required
- To ensure attendance at mandatory training sessions, involvement in appraisals and personal development plans and adherence to Trust policies
- To work under standard operating procedures (SOP’S)
- To carry out admin work in a ward environment; including, filing, open post, updating spreadsheets with patients' information, booking transport and follow up appointments.
- Being the first friendly face visitors see when arriving on the ward.
- Communicating with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Previous experience of working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is a must, CareFlow experience will be an advantage although training will be provided.
- Being an extremely busy department, the ability to work under pressure and be able to prioritise changing workloads is absolutely essential for this role.

Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- GCSE in Maths and English
- Keyboard skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to develop good working relationships

- Experience within NHS or similar setting
