Role: Warehouse Operations Manager

Location: Newcastle
Package: £50,000 - £55,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Bonus

The role

This Warehouse Operations Manager opportunity is with a well-established distribution business based in Newcastle, operating within a fast-paced environment where service, productivity, and operational standards are critical to success.

The business is looking for a people-focused Warehouse Operations Manager who can lead from the front, drive performance, and create a culture of accountability across the operation. You'll have full responsibility for warehouse performance, ensuring customer expectations are met while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and engagement.

Working closely with the wider Logistics distribution and supply chain function, you'll play a key role in delivering operational excellence while supporting the continued growth of the business.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring productivity, service, and quality targets are achieved
  • Managing and developing warehouse leadership teams and operational colleagues
  • Driving a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement throughout the site
  • Monitoring KPIs and implementing initiatives to improve operational performance
  • Managing labour planning, resource allocation, and operational costs
  • Ensuring Health & Safety standards are maintained and continuously improved
  • Working closely with transport and wider Logistics distribution and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operational delivery
  • Identifying process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer service
  • Supporting customer relationships and ensuring service expectations are consistently met

Key experience

  • Proven experience operating as a Warehouse Operations Manager, Warehouse Manager, or senior warehouse leader within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership experience managing large operational teams
  • Background within retail, FMCG, e-commerce, or third-party logistics operations
  • Demonstrable experience improving productivity, service levels, and operational performance
  • Strong understanding of warehouse KPIs, labour management, and continuous improvement principles
  • Comfortable operating within a broader Logistics distribution and supply chain environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong commercial awareness and a focus on delivering operational results
