Warehouse Operative Join dnata's Logistics Team
dnata is looking for motivated and reliable Warehouse Operatives/Cargo Handlers to join our busy Gatwick operation. Working as part of a close-knit team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring cargo is handled safely, securely, and efficiently for transportation across the globe. From live animals and pharmaceuticals to luxury vehicles and general freight, no two days are the same in our fast-paced logistics environment.
The Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you will:
- Load and unload cargo from vehicles and aircraft.
- Operate forklifts and other mechanical handling equipment (training provided where required).
- Tow cargo to and from aircraft.
- Carry out manual handling activities safely and efficiently.
- Use handheld devices to locate, identify, and process cargo.
- Complete cargo documentation in line with client and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support operational performance.

What We're Looking For
- A full UK driving licence is mandatory.
- A strong commitment to safety and security.
- Good verbal and written English skills.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Flexibility to work both day and night shifts.
- Ability to successfully complete:
- A 5-year employment/education reference check.
- Criminal record and security screening in line with CAA regulations.
- A satisfactory medical assessment.
- Availability to attend a recruitment and assessment day at Gatwick towards the end of July is essential (further details will be provided).
Hours of Work
- 42 hours per week.
- Rotating day and night shifts within a 24/7 operation.
- Approximate shift start times between 6:00am and 6:00pm.
- Rolling 4-week roster:
- 5 days on / 5 days off
- 4 days on / 4 days off
- Flexibility is essential.
