The Warehouse Assistant will assist with the preparation and dispatch of hire equipment. The role will provide invaluable support to ensure that the operation delivers exceptional service to its customers and ensuring output meets the requirements of the business.
The role includes the development of preparation processes, looking for and implementing improvements to make the team as effective and efficient as possible. You may be required to assist, or cover for, other roles within the operation for which full training / support will be given.

Your day will look like:
- Administrative tasks as required for the role.
- To develop safe working practices according to H&S policies
- The preparation, assembly, and de-preparation of new and used equipment.
- Assisting the asset management team with stock location / requests
- Assisting the loading and tipping of courier / transport vehicles.
- Ensuring equipment is delivered within timelines and with appropriate packaging and documentation.
- Immediately reporting to managers any anomalies, lost or damaged equipment.
- Ensuring warehouse is maintained in a clean, organised and tidy condition.
- Liaise effectively and professionally with third parties and customers to provide a high standard of support and customer service and adhere to Solotech service standards where required.
- Communicate (both written and verbal) with all areas of the business and outside sources in a clear and effective manner and in accordance with Solotech core standards where required.
- Work as a member of the team, developing positive working relationships with other Solotech' s colleagues, departments, and external contacts.
- Using Forklift to load / unload vehicles and ensure safe working environment is kept at all times where trained to do so.
- Any other reasonable ad-hoc requests as required by your manager

Essential skills / experience:
- Good administration skills.
- Able to interact with people of all professional levels.
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure – the role is fast paced, with several jobs loading / unloading simultaneously
- Ability to use a computers, in particular Microsoft Office packages.
- Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised, whilst recognising when to ask questions.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Fit and able to lift and move equipment as required within given Health and Safety guidelines.
- Work as an enthusiastic member of the team, developing positive working relationships with other Solotech's colleagues, departments, and external contacts.

Desirable Skills / Experience:
- Knowledge of pro-audio equipment.
Other requirements:
- Full clean driving license.
- Right to work and remain in the UK.
- Forklift license is desirable (training will be provided if without).
- Level of education: Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent work experience)
- Work experience: A minimum of 1 years experience within a warehouse environment
