About the Role
The Warehouse Assistant will assist with the preparation and dispatch of hire equipment, supporting operational excellence to ensure exceptional service delivery to customers. This role focuses on:
- Developing robust preparation processes
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Temporary coverage for other operational roles (with full training/support provided)

Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day tasks may include:
- Administrative support as required by your role
- Designing and implementing safe working practices in line with Health & Safety (H&S) policies
- Preparing, assembling, and de-preparing both new and used equipment
- Assisting the asset management team with equipment location requests and inventory
- Supporting loading and offloading of courier/transport vehicles
- Ensuring equipment meets timely delivery requirements with proper packaging and documentation
- Reporting lost, damaged, or anomalous equipment promptly to management
- Maintaining the warehouse in a clean, organised, and tidy condition
- Effective liaison with third parties and customers to deliver high-standard customer service and adhere to Solotech’s support standards
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication with internal teams and external contacts
- Collaborating with colleagues across departments in alignment with Solotech’s standards
- Operating a forklift (if trained) to safely load/unload vehicles
- Assisting with ad-hoc departmental requests as directed by supervisors

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven administration skills
- Ability to engage with individuals at across all professional levels
- Flexibility, adaptability, and strong multitasking skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office (understanding of key software packages)
- Initiative and self-sufficiency while recognising when to seek support/guidance
- Excellent organisation and time-management abilities
- Physical capability to handle equipment lifting/moving (within H&S guidelines)
- Committment to working as a collaborative, enthusiastic team member with diverse colleagues

Desirable Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of pro-audio equipment
Other Requirements
- Full, clean driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Forklift licence desirable (training provided with willingness to learn)
Qualifications & Experience
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
