Warehouse Assistant
Would you like to be part of the UK's leading supplier of engineering components to the design and engineering industry? Wixroyd is one of the UK's biggest online engineering component suppliers and has gained a reputation for high quality, innovative products.
We are looking to recruit an organised and motivated person to join our Warehouse team.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack and despatch customer orders accurately and on time, in accordance with daily schedules and priority requirements
- Operate warehouse management systems (Bridge/Opera) to process orders and update stock records and support inventory control across the warehouse
- Conduct cycle counts and stock takes to maintain inventory accuracy
- Report and investigate any stock discrepancies promptly
- Take responsibility for health and safety within the warehouse, following all procedures and reporting hazards or incidents as required
- Support the wider team with goods in, stock movements, bars cutting and general warehouse duties as required
- Focus on continuous improvement and work with all departments to promote 'one team' culture

Skills and Experience:
- Previous warehouse experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good numeracy and literacy
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Good understanding of health and safety responsibilities in the workplace
- Punctual and reliable
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to accept change
- Forklift licence (counterbalance or reach)
- Experience using Bridge or Opera systems
- Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Good IT and computer skills
- Assembly experience

Hours of Work:
Our company operates on a two-shift basis (on-site) which rotates weekly.

- Week 1: Monday to Friday 07:30 to 15:30
- Week 2: Monday to Thursday 09:30 to 17:30 and Friday 08:00 to 16:30
