The purpose of this role is to assist the Sales and Systems Integration Teams through the administration and preparation of equipment for sale and/or installation. The role will provide invaluable support to ensure that the operation delivers exceptional service to its customers, ensuring output meets the requirements of the business. The Warehouse Assistant will assist with the preparation, maintenance, and delivery of audio systems.

Your day will look like:
- Ensure the adherence to H&S requirements at all times and contribute to the development of safe working practices according to H&S policies.
- Responsible for booking in of all goods and equipment
- Responsible for storing, organising and rotating stock following the correct procedures and storage methods
- Assist with monthly stock checks.
- Immediately report to managers any anomalies, lost, stolen or damaged equipment
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of new and used audio systems within the warehouse.
- Support the delivery of equipment within agreed timelines and with relevant packaging and accurate documentation as required.
- Assisting with the loading and tipping of courier / transport vehicles.
- Ensuring work area is maintained in a clean, organised and tidy condition adhering to Health and Safety policies at all times.
- Ensure equipment, tools and peripheral items are kept/returned to their designated place before next intended use.
- To develop safe working practices according to H&S policies.
- Using Forklift to load / unload vehicles and ensure safe working environment is kept at all times.
- Supporting exhibition preparation and load out where required.
- Communicate (both written and verbal) with all areas of the business and outside sources in a clear and effective manner and in accordance with Solotech’s core standards.
- Any other reasonable ad-hoc requests as required by your manager

Essential skills / experience:
- Show initiative and use the ability to work unsupervised, whilst recognising when to ask questions.
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure - the role is fast paced, with several jobs loading / unloading simultaneously
- Able to interact with people of all professional levels.
- Good administration skills and an excellent telephone manner.
- Ability to use a computer, in particular Microsoft Office packages.
- Fit and able to lift and move equipment as required within given Health and Safety guidelines.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Work as an enthusiastic member of the team, developing positive working relationships with other Solotech's colleagues, departments, and external contacts.
- Knowledge of pro-audio equipment. (advantageous)

Essential requirements:
- Right to Work and Remain in the UK.
- Forklift license is desirable (training will be provided if without).
- Flexibility to work unsociable hours as required in addition to your normal hours of work from time to time
Level of education:
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent)
Work experience:
- A minimum of 1 years experience within a warehouse environment
