Warehouse Chargehands Wanted for New Distribution Centre in Daventry
We are looking to recruit Warehouse Chargehands for our brand new distribution centre in Daventry, Northamptonshire. Details about the new site are included below:
Address: Logicor Park Daventry, Royal Oak Way, Daventry, NN11 8QL.
Induction starts in August
Available Shift Patterns
- Days 6am to 2pm
Pay, Working Hours & Benefits
- We offer an hourly pay rate of £14.07 per hour.

Responsibilities
As Warehouse Chargehand, you will be responsible for:
- Utilising available resources to maximise efficiency in order to achieve and exceed KPI`s.
- Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet daily operational requirements within the warehouse, as well as providing a safe working environment for all by adhering to the Site Health & Safety procedures and ensuring that these are understood and practiced by the entire team.
- Ensuring high levels of hygiene and housekeeping in the warehouse at all times and deliver team member performance reviews, development and/or succession planning as appropriate.
- Addressing any performance issues or training needs.
- Continuously monitoring, reviewing and acting upon available operational reports ensuring quality and performance are never compromised and if you need to escalate any potential issues to the appropriate Warehouse Manager.
- Managing new starters to receive comprehensive induction training and ensuring team members are multi-skilled through planned training, coaching and development.
- Measuring the improvement in performance and increasing responsibility, thereby promoting a culture of employee engagement.
- Ensuring compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP`s) and ensuring the department continuously achieves a high level of customer focus and service.

The Warehouse Supervisor will conduct team briefings daily/weekly as required, discussing with the staff any issues which may cause concern within the working environment. The successful candidate must have a proven track record using a WMS.
Who We're Looking For
- A proven track record of cost savings, productivity costs, quality control and error reduction.
- Excellent team building, leadership and motivational skills.
- The ability to communicate in an open and honest manner with the team, transport & the customer.
- The commitment, enthusiasm and flexibility to work various shift patterns which are able to respond to customer demand.
- Experience of HR related activities; performance review, appraisal, disciplinary, grievance and good knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
- Monitor inbound or outbound Trunks to ensure SLAs are strictly adhered to.
