Warehouse Chargehands – Logicor Park, Daventry
About the Role
We are recruiting Warehouse Chargehands to join our newly opened distribution centre at:
Address: Logicor Park, Daventry, Royal Oak Way, Daventry, NN11 8QL. Induction begins in August.
Shift Patterns Available
- Days: 6am to 2pm
Pay, Working Hours & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: £14.07 per hour
- Annual Leave: 30 days
- Break Facilities: Regular breaks during shifts
- Training: Full training provided

Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Chargehand, you will:
- Maximise efficiency by strategically utilising resources to achieve and exceed KPIs.
- Plan, manage, and adjust staffing levels based on operational needs.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to Site Health & Safety procedures, ensuring full team compliance.
- Ensure high hygiene and housekeeping standards within the warehouse.
- Conduct team performance reviews, development, and succession planning to support growth and engagement.
- Address performance issues, track training needs, and escalate problems to the Warehouse Manager when necessary.

Operational & Leadership Focus
- Continuously monitor, review, and act on operational reports to uphold quality and performance.
- Oversee new starter inductions and foster multi-skilling through training, coaching, and development.
- Measure performance improvements and take responsibility for Olympic staff motivation and success.
- Ensure SOP adherence and maintain customer-focused operations.
Communication & Additional Duties
- Conduct daily/weekly team briefings to discuss workplace issues.
- Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System) is a must.
- Review and maintain inbound/outbound trunk compliance, ensuring SLA adherence.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with:
- A proven track record in:
- Cost/quality savings and error reduction
- Productivity optimisation and efficiency improvements
- Strong leadership and motivational skills to build cohesive teams.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with teams, transport, and customers.
- Commitment to working flexible shifts as customer demand requires.
- Experience with HR processes, including performance reviews, disciplinary actions, grievances, and Health & Safety compliance.
