Warehouse Controller

About The Role

As a Warehouse Controller at GSF Car Parts, you are responsible for motivating and leading a team of Warehouse Operatives. As the Warehouse Controller, you will ensure stock meets sales budgets and the operational functions of the warehouse run smoothly.


Main Duties Include

  • Manage the organisation and performance to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Goods In, Goods Out, Returns and Stock Control departments
  • Ensure accurate picking and loading of vans/carriers for timely customer delivery when required
  • Verify that stock quantities are correct against computer systems
  • Utilise personal judgment and initiative to develop effective solutions to challenges and obstacles
  • Maintain smooth warehouse operations and assist the branch manager with:
    • Holiday/sickness cover
    • Preparing weekly plans
    • Developing the warehouse team
    • Coordinating with drivers to ensure the best delivery service for customers
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment where employees are valued and encouraged to reach their full potential

Working Hours

Average hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working


About You

As the Warehouse Controller, you will have demonstrated success in managing a warehouse, ideally within a fast-paced environment such as FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods).


What You'll Need To Succeed

  • Ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Customer and sales-focused mindset
  • Previous experience with MAM (Manual Asset Management) systems is desirable but not essential
