The Role: Our company is expanding, and an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Operative / Driver to work on prepping, de-prepping and transporting equipment to and from, a wide range of events from concert touring, outdoor festivals and corporate shows.
Primary Responsibilities: It is expected that the Warehouse Operative / Driver will take ownership of the following;
Warehouse Duties: Regular liaison with the Project Management team, to understand and to then expedite the company’s daily requirements. To clean and maintain all equipment: generators, distribution units, cable ramps, etc To pick and prepare equipment according to the Project Managers equipment list. To generate and maintain accurate paperwork: pick lists, delivery and return notes To assist with the load and unloading of vehicles, using a forklift as necessary. To clean, service and label all flight cases pre project and ensure that they are maintained and stored appropriately post project To test, clean, recoil, de-tape and put away all cabling and equipment post hire. To ensure that the general warehouse housekeeping is up to the required standards. To ensure that an ongoing process of PAT testing is maintained and that appropriate and accurate test certificate records are lodged To maintain stock levels of parts and consumables and advise of short falls To ensure that the front and rear yard are kept clean and clear when necessary. Plus additional and appropriate tasks as required

Driving Duties: To load equipment, transport and unload equipment, either to or from site Deliver Items to site in one of our company vehicles Regularly maintain vehicles ensuring that they are fuelled and clean Maintain all necessary tachograph records
Standard Companywide Responsibilities: Any other duties as required Comply with all health and safety requirements. Comply with all policies and procedures. Ensuring the warehouse and work areas are kept in a clean and tidy manner at all times.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience: Essential: Experience of working within a similar role. Current clean UK driving licence Good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Able to work autonomously but must also be an excellent team player. Possess a pro-active ‘can do’ attitude Self motivated and able to take ownership and accountability. Excellent attention to detail Good written and verbal communication. Demonstrate personal integrity and professional manner Excellent time keeping Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Adaptable and approachable with a sense of humour in the face of adversity! Due to the nature and workload of our business, the ability to work weekend and unsocial hours when required
Beneficial: Experience within the live event industry / temporary event power distribution systems BS7161 (17th Edition) and BS7909 electrical qualifications Experience in the use and operation of generators Mechanical qualifications and / or experience Experience of interpreting technical drawings. Current clean UK driving licence, categories including BE and / or C and / or CE. ADR licence Forklift, IPAF and First Aid qualifications Knowledge and experience of tacho management legislation and documentation
