Here at GXO, we are recruiting for a Warehouse First Line Manager to join our Iceland team at our busy temperature-controlled site in Warrington. As a Warehouse First Line Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring and driving efficient operational performance, whilst maintaining strong communications with the on-site management team.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working any 5 nights from 22:00 till 06:00.

Pay, benefits, and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £34,000.00 plus a shift allowance of £2,232.00 per annum paid monthly, and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead a team of colleagues to operational success in our temperature-controlled warehouse
  • Set daily and weekly KPIs and ensure that these are always being met and exceeded
  • Maximise productivity and improve quality in order to grow your team
  • Lead HR requirements in relation to investigation, disciplinary, grievance, and absence management

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Proven experience in managing an operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment (ideally a grocery operation)
  • The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement
