Warehouse First Line Manager (Nights)

Salary: £34,000 - £36,435 per annum

Grade: N

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift Pattern: Nights, 22:00 - 06:00, working any 5 days from 7 (including weekends)

Location: Bristol, BS10 7ES

Start Date: November 2026

We're looking for an ambitious and people-focused Warehouse First Line Manager (FLM) to join our brand-new Bristol site, supporting our valued customer, Waitrose.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an industry-leading operation with outstanding on-site facilities, including a modern gym and restaurant. You'll play a key role in shaping a high-performing warehouse team within a fast-paced environment, working across both chilled and ambient operational areas.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring productivity, quality and service targets are consistently achieved.
  • Manage teams across both chilled and ambient environments, ensuring safe and efficient working practices at all times.
  • Drive colleague engagement, wellbeing and performance through regular communication, coaching and one-to-one meetings.
  • Ensure all colleagues receive the appropriate training and support to perform their roles effectively and safely.
  • Monitor operational performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and customer service.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and compliance across all warehouse activities.
  • Support inventory accuracy, stock management and operational processes in line with customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and utilise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to deliver operational excellence.
  • Create a positive and inclusive team culture where every colleague can thrive and perform at their best.

What You'll Bring

  • A positive, hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or operational leadership role is desirable.
  • Strong people management, coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience working with WMS systems and Microsoft Office packages.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional standards of safety, quality and customer service.
  • Confidence working within both chilled and ambient warehouse environments.
