A little bit about us…
Muntons is a significant global supplier to the food and drinks industry with a combined output of around 240,000 tonnes of malted products per year. We supply global multinational drinks companies, major regional food and drink companies, all the way through to start-ups and small independent craft brewers around the world. Malt is the primary raw material for beer and malt whisky. Malted ingredients are used in a variety of applications within food, drinks and baking industries. This role is an opportunity to join the business at an exciting time. In recent years, the business has invested heavily in both the grain intake and maltings facility (excess of £13million) and we believe our grain intake to be one of the best in the industry. We are looking for a keen candidate to help steer the team, whilst upholding our quality standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
