Warehouse & Forklift Operative
About the Role
We're seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative with a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence to join our expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is eager to work collaboratively in a supportive setting.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant movement of stock while contributing to our commitment to Health & Safety, Quality, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Support Warehouse Managers in delivering efficient daily operations while adhering to company, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Safely load and unload vehicles, ensuring products are handled carefully and securely.
- Verify incoming goods, accurately label stock, and record movements using our warehouse management systems.
- Prepare goods for dispatch, ensuring correct labelling and safe loading onto vehicles.
- Assist with inbound, outbound, and internal stock movements in line with warehouse procedures and quality requirements.
- Carry out quality control checks on products received, stored, and dispatched.
- Identify and report any non-conformities relating to product quality, compliance, health and safety, or operational procedures.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed in line with received training.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse leadership and other departments to support business objectives and project deadlines.
- Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safely and responsibly, promoting best practices.
- Support the wider Warehouse Leadership Team with additional duties as required.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Experience operating a forklift in a busy warehouse setting.
- Current and valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Basic IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work safely, efficiently, and accurately under pressure.

What We Offer
- Competitive hourly rate of £13.50 per hour
- Performance-related bonus opportunities
- Shift hours available Monday to Sunday (with optional overtime)
- Current shift pattern:
- 08:00 - 16:30
- Fixed-term contract until 8th January 2027, with the possibility of extension
